Work in Progress Wednesday: A Peek Inside the WonderStrange Arts Work Rooms (11/16)

Hey, know what day it is?  Wednesday!  (Unless you’re being tricksy and reading this on some other day, just to be a rebel.  You rebel.)  For us, at any rate, it’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to show you what we’re up to this week!

Here’s the deal:  I don’t do many canvases.  (Hey, if you worked alongside Cindy Jo and Sarah, you might not do many canvases either.)  But!  Our friend Tami visited the house this week, and when she asked to see my wonderstrange inventory, she held up one of my “Art of Grammar” canvases and said, “If people could see how this looks in real life, you wouldn’t have it anymore.”   How sweet is Tami?!   Both touched and inspired, I decided to do another “Art of Grammar” canvas this week, which should be in my shop by this time next week.  For the moment, it looks like this:

This week, in addition to building a 9-foot totem pole at school, preparing for student-teacher conferences, AND juggling still more commissions, Cindy is working on a  square canvas:

Don’t you desperately want to play with all those beautiful blobs of paint?!

Hey, if you’ve been thinking about ordering a custom mixed media house painting – or any other sort of canvas – for the holidays, get busy!  Get on over to Cindy’s shop!

You may have noticed over time that Nanner loves herself some spray paint.  This week, she’s doubling the love –  and the colors – as you can see in the pic below.  Here’s a sneaky peek at Friday’s tutorial:

Ay, me.  Sweet Sarah seems somehow convinced that she is going to sell these amazing creations, which can serve either as ornaments or wall hangings.  What she doesn’t know is that if you don’t buy them very quickly, I will hoard them like a crazy lady on a reality show with 1,000 hamsters and 410 cans of beans.   You’ve been warned.  Watch for them in her shop by this time next week!

That’s what’s up for this week!  Tune in next week, same ‘Strange time, same ‘Strange channel!
