The chill of Halloween is in the air! With less than a week to go before the big night, we’re giving you an opportunity to grab some colorful Halloween goodies from the wonderstrange bowl at great prices! Get them before that annoying, squirrely kid from next door takes your favorite one! To get the coupon code, read on!
Last week, I was just getting started on a set of four Misfit Toy ornaments for Christmas. Two days and six (okay, maybe it was eight) scary movies later, I was finished. Phew! Here’s a sneak peek at two of them: A three-legged dolly and a merrabbit.
The complete set will be available in my shop in November in all of its cute little mutated glory! Meanwhile, I am working on a whole slew of new salt and pepper shakers, beginning with Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln. (What can I say? Height differences amuse me, which is why I’ll also be doing Napoleon and Josephine.)
Look for these and other shakers in the shop soon!
The next time you send Cindy a custom order request over email, picture her answering you while also drinking water, mixing paint, working on four canvases at once, and taking a few notes with her fabulous pen. If this picture doesn’t prove Cindy’s multi-tasking mettle, I don’t know what could!
Look for these fabulous pieces this coming week in Cindy’s shop – and for real, if you’ve been thinking of ordering a custom house painting for someone for the holidays, now’s a great time to act!
This week, Nanner sent in this hilarious picture of a yellow skeleton, high on spray paint fumes, wondering where it all went: The days of his misspent youth, his lost loves, his head.
We suspect this all has something to do with Nanner’s upcoming tutorial, but Mr. Yellow there isn’t talking. Be sure to check out her project this Friday, though, because it’s not only cool, but also quick and easy to make! (Which means you could make it! Which means you could enter our contest! Go here for more details!)
Last week, as you may recall, Sarah was working steadily on a pair of custom zombie slippers, but here’s a delicious little detail I didn’t mention: The customer – who is obviously a girl after my own heart – requested that Sarah make them extra gory, and Sarah did not disappoint, adding all kinds of fabulously icky details!
(And hey, if you feel bad for the bunnies, you can always order a pair with an extra helping of cute!)
This week, Sarah is working on some Christmas ornaments of her own, which are dangling from a pincushion she made this summer.
We can’t wait to see how they turn out!
