To Every Season, Turn, Turn, Turn: An Altered Art Nouveau Kleenex Box Cover

This week, I’ve had the great fortune to host my fellow WonderStrange artist Sarah Trumpp at my very own house.  (Cindy would have loved to be here, too, but it’s her last week of school.  Boo school.)    Sarah and I took one major field trip to Goodwill, where we both purchased several fabulous cardigans and some adorable shirts, but after that, it was straight up labor camp in this house.  While Sarah sculpted hilariously awesome little creepers from polymer clay (she thrives in labor camp, apparently), I’ve been working steadily – for four solid days and one night, in fact – to transform a tan Kleenex box cover with a moose and an evergreen on the front into this Art Nouveau-inspired tribute to the four seasons.  I can’t tell you how blinking happy I am to be finished.

If you ever see another Kleenex box cover with this shape at a thrift shop, by the way, you should totally buy it for me and send it to my house.  I will pay you and send you cookies made with celebrity Kleenexes.

I don't think I have ever said this here…( That is so pretty.) I have never seen one those boxes before. Great change of seasons.

    • Hahahaha! Don't worry, shuckclod – I don't think I have ever made anything so pretty before. It kind of freaked me out!

Thanks, as always, for taking the time to comment! 🙂

As the proud and awed owner of this tissue box cover, I can tell you that it is even more beautiful in real life. Thanks for all the blood, sweat and tears that went into making it!
