Art Journaling is how I process things, it is how I take my feelings of the moment and turn them to something I can look at.
In this art journal spread, I wanted to show you how simple you can keep it especially when using Sarah’s wonderful stencils. They are like no other on the market, really.
What is your heart telling you, right now ? Mine was yelling that I needed to stop making excused for how I was feeling about people.
Our heart is a tricky thing, isn’t it ? I often think that I don’t understand mine. My mind and my heart are not always in sync, but I am working on it.

One of my most recent mantras is « Do No Harm, Take No Shit » because it is too easy to let people into your brain when it’s just wrong. It is something I am teaching my two daughters as well (don’t wish any harm on anybody but stand up for yourself)

Using white paint before adding color makes it pop even more, as if the symbol/image was pasted on there. It is a really good and easy way to make your stencil pop from your page.
I wanted this stunning Crystal Anatomic Heart stencil to be the center of attention, so it was perfect.

Sometimes, I want my symbols and stencil work to be subtle. That’s why I added the three eyes in my first layers with molding paste : I knew paint would cover them but that I would remember they were part of my starting intention for the page.

Yay, I know I know… Every single one of my projects, I think, includes the Plus Signs Background stencil. But you have to understand : it goes with everything 😉 I love it too much to leave it out of my artwork. Really.
Have you ever tried this technique I use in the video ? Smart, isn’t it ?
I really hope I gave you some inspiration to open your art journal and pour yourself in its pages.
STENCILS USED :
love you !
