False Sunflowers - Full Shot

Ann is pretty sure these are “false sunflowers” growing by the side of her house, which is way better for neighborhood relations than having false gods or false idols or false testimony.

False Sunflower Close Up

False though they may be, they seem to taste truly delicious.

My neighbor grows these. They are more of a weed. They do pop up all over. My husband takes them out of our yard.

Yeah, my husband decided to let this one grow without really knowing what it was. I almost pulled it out four or five times, because it wasn't too cute, but in the end, I honored Jason's wishes, or perhaps better put, his curiosity – and then suddenly, it flowered! Fun!
