I have been itching to design the Corpse Bride as an amigurumi for awhile now, but somewhere along the way, my eagerness ran into my Hypothetical Problems Combination Waffle Maker / Anxiety Blender. The Corpse Bride is kind of a bony girl, after all – and I mean that literally. What if I couldn’t make her bone legs support her weight? What if I tried really, really hard to make her pretty, and she still didn’t look as gorgeous as she did in the movie?
Two weeks ago, I finally decided to just do it. Because honestly. What if I didn’t try at all? Was I going to be defeated by some weird, bad kitchen appliance metaphor?
That’s right. Linda Carter believed in me! AND I FINISHED THE CORPSE BRIDE! And I am pretty proud of the results.
The Corpse Bride stands just shy of 11 inches tall. She is holding her wedding bouquet in her sweet bony hand, and she is still waiting for love.
If you’re a crocheter, you can purchase the pattern from my shop. If you would rather have a finished Corpse Bride, leave me a comment, and I’ll send you a message! If most of all you would like THIS Corpse Bride, the one in the pictures below, you should leave me a haiku to that effect in your comment.
