    • Free crochet patterns  Frankenstein’s Monster!  Rawr! This pattern produces an adorably frightening little Frankenstein monster that you can make with medium or bulky yarn.  The monster has lots of customizable features, from his too-short sleeves to the scars on his face. This is an intermediate pattern, requiring approximately 2 dozen color changes in the head – but don’t let that scare you!  According to my tester, it was “totally worth it!” You can download the PDF right here:  Frankenstein Pattern from wonderstrange     Eye Heart Potholders This pattern uses t-shirt yarn, tutorial right here if you need it!  You could also use worsted-weight yarn and make ornaments or thread/floss to make earrings should you so desire! This pattern assumes you know how to work in joined rounds and how to do color changes! Click here to download the PDF:  Eye Heart Potholders

Living with Art: Artsy Storage for Artsy Stuff, Part 1

My colored pencil collection has outgrown its humble home.  I knew it would happen.  One solitary can that used to hold diced tomatoes simply cannot contain all the colored pencils I want to possess. To give myself an attractive new way to store my art supplies, I first switched from Read more…

HEY KIDS! I know it’s been a while since I’ve been around, and I’m trying my hardest to remedy that now. It’s crazy how crazy it’s been around here, but things are getting less… crazy… hopefully soon. HOPEFULLY. It’s been so crazy that I actually did this page at least Read more…

Living with Art: Building a Custom Frame

Shortly before Christmas, my pal Cindy of The Slumbering Herd sent me an amazing 6×6 piece of sideshow art as a gift. To display this amazing beauty, I decided to build a frame – and show you how to build one, too, because it’s WAY easier than you think.  I Read more…

50 Canvases Redux – Number 33, The Water Bearer

I swear I will conquer this project if it kills me.  Hopefully it won’t kill me.  Also, hopefully I won’t come back as a zombie and destroy my entire family after infecting the entire town, leading to a global catastrophe of epic proportions.  Maybe Brad Pitt will play my husband Read more…

This was a weird week for me.  Okay, if I’m going to be Frank (and I’m not Frank, I’m Sarah.  Sheesh, why can’t you ever remember my name?!), every week is a weird week for me.  BUT I DIGRESS.  As usual.  I’m good at digressing. I went on the tubes Read more…
