Birds of a Feather and “I’m Eating WHAT?!”: Free Digital Stamps

They say birds of a feather flock together – and thank God they’re right, because everyone needs a tribe, even pigeons in Viking hats!  Actually, I like to imagine that this is sort of what my husband and I looked  like when we first set eyes on each other, two odd little birds instantly lovestruck   And ready to invade Greenland.

That homage to love was inspired by our list of 100 Things to Draw When You’re Bored: 2012 Edition, from which I picked “Birds in Hats” (Number 47) and “Man Bites Dog” (Number 92), or in this case, Man Bites Soy . . . and immediately wonders why.

Be sure to check back on Friday, when I’ll show you how to get major raves with a grocery bag and a digi set.  Want a sneak peek?  Here goes!

Gothic Snow White and Sacred Heart: Free Digital Stamps

On the sixth day, wonderstrange created the mountains made of daisy-stuffed intestines and rivers of teddy bear bile, and on the seventh day they rested.  And by “rested” I mean “continued on with the 100 things to draw list!

This week we have gothic Snow White (number 80) and a sacred heart (number 44).   I figure they both can be used to celebrate the release of Snow White and the Huntsman, no matter what your feelings are about the worthiness of Kristen Stewart portraying my absolute FAVORITE fairy tale character, Snow White.  We won’t get into my feelings about Kristen Stewart playing Snow White.

As usual, click on each image to see it full size, right click and save then resize and print to your heart’s content.  Get it?  heart’s content.  har har.

Next week wonderstrange is sponsoring our first ever sisterhood of crafters challenge.  Our theme is circles, so I’ve come up with a few circular digis (including dear Snow up there) for your enjoyment and consumption!  Don’t really consume them, though.  Paper, while high in fiber, isn’t exactly good for you.

You can get these circular and sort of creepy digis for a mere 1.50 apiece, but, in honor of our virgin sponsorship, I’m offering the whole set for only 2 bucks.  TWO BUCKS.  I think I need a drink.

Check back on Friday when we’ll make circles!  and things with circles!  whee!

A Sad Beanie Baby and a Mad Old Man: Free Digital Stamps

Here are two (not very) secret and not very related facts about me: 1) I love everything about the movie Alien and all of its successors; and 2) I am incredibly happy whenever I get to draw and color little old men.   If I could someday draw a very elderly Lance Henriksen duking it out with a chain gang of alien babies, I think I would probably explode from happiness.  But I digress.  In looking over our list of 100 Things to Draw When You’re Bored, I decided that one of those aliens that interrupts dinner by exploding out of your chest would almost certainly be a Rejected Beanie Baby (#3).  As for Angry Old Man (#18), well, that one’s kind of self-explanatory.  Except you know.  Stay off his lawn.

Poor rejected chestburster!  Hey, you know who would give him a big hug?  WONDERSTRANGE!  We would even help him to nurture his tiny little chestburster soul with tutorials, free crochet and cross stitch patterns, and workshops.

We would do the same for you, even if this angry old man shook his arthritic fist at us.

Eyeball Flowers and Gnaked Gnome: Free Digital Stamps

This week you can get an eyeful any way you want it …with a fresh cut bunch of eyeball flowers ( no. 68 on our 100 Things to Draw When You Are Bored 2012 list) or feast your eyes on this Gnaked Gnome (no. 60), who has thankfully preserved his modesty by keeping his hat on. You cannot, however, touch MY eyeball, although if you had been around at the time of this posting, you could have. My dentist got over enthusiastic with the novacaine this afternoon. Feel free to post sympathetic and supportive messages to my numb head . Then go make some art!

To use these images in your own art simply click, size and print.
