I don’t know about you, but I hit backspace a lot.  A LOT.  It is probably the most-used key on my keyboard.  Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but my brain moves WAY faster than my fingers almost all the time, especially when I get excited.  Because of that, there is much typoing, and much correcting, and sometimes even much make-worsening, but I can usually be sure that the person I’m talking to knows me well enough to understand what I mean even when I transpose every letter (mostly because I don’t spend a lot of time excitedly talking to strangers).

This pattern came out of one of those afternoons of Facebook chatting when I couldn’t get my fingers to work right.  Then I decided to screw up “you are awesome” in the worst way possible, and the result was so hilarious to me that I had to make it into a pattern.  I figure, if nothing else, it’s a perfect gift for your favorite English major.

awomees

You can download a PDF of the pattern by clicking on the image, and it should work up to be about 3 x 5 inches on 14-count Aida.  Now GO, sprinkle your typos over the world.
