I spent an entire week obsessed with boxes, and I think this was my “recover mentally from being obsessed with boxes” week. That happens to everyone, right? I had such a hard time forcing myself to do… well.. anything other than obsessively check Facebook and watch Youtube videos. I am going to have to work like I’m Ann for the next three months, so I guess it’s good to start out rested! In this slackeriffic week, though, I had fun with these little skellydudes on Instagram.
Once I made their little hats and glued them on, I lined them up on my table, waiting for the glue to dry. After hours of above-mentioned facebooking and youtube-watching, I glanced over to see these guys with their accusing stares. Creepy.
I finally gave in and gave them all glitter and painted one guy’s body. In completely accidental placement, the other unpainted guys started to snub the painted guy. Look at him – so sad. 🙁
As the days went on and the unpainted guys still didn’t get paint, the snubbing got more severe. They started whispering to each other, making the painted guy VERY suspicious (again, completely accidental placement).
The painted guy finally couldn’t take it anymore and had to show those unpainted guys who’s boss. This was actually intentional placement – I try not to be THAT careless with my stuff. THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS.
I finally sucked it up and finished them all. They have an uneasy truce made easier by the fact that they’re all currently packed up in their lovely coordinating BOXES!! I guess the obsession didn’t quite end.
I’m hanging onto these guys for now since I have a gazillion shows coming up, but I will be making a lot more, I think. I just got a bunch of lovely German glass glitter, and I’m all ready to sparkle up a bunch of skulls.
