Greetings, Mr. Bond, and Happy Easter. I’d like to introduce you to my minions. OMG AREN’T THEY CUUUUTE!!??!
Aaaand now you know why I don’t write screenplays anymore.
ANYWAY. On Tuesday I released the EasterMonster digistamp for general consumption, and today I’m going to show you something you can do with it. Did I mention it’s on sale for just a dollar today?! OMG HOLY CRAP. GO BUY IT.
Step ONE: Print out your design and lay it on a bed of flowers. Or newspapers. Newspapers are probably better. More absorbent. Less expensive for sure unless you live in one of those fairy tale castles surrounded by fields of wildflowers. In that case, I’m moving in. Okay seriously back to business! If you snag the super cheap digi of this monstrous bunny, there is a PDF in there of the bunnies eight to a sheet. I take care of you!!
Step TWO: Gather your own minions and egg dyeing paraphernalia. You could choose to just color the bunnies like some kind of alien, but I’m just a simple caveman and like the sloppy methods. Go off and read a romance novel or something while you encourage the kids, your poker buddies, or your tribe of chihuahuas to make a huge mess. I came through afterwords and dipped my fingers in the dye and then flicked it all over the papers. Shockingly, my kids were not messy enough. I think they’re Pod People.
This is how it looked when all was said and done. That newspaper is sort of ridiculously clean. See what I mean?!? Pod People. Even the 4-year-old.
Step THREE: Cut out your bunnies and then cut a strip of fancypaper about 6.5 inches long. You could also do like I did and use papers that are 6.5 inches long. (That’s how I got that specific number, heheh, SO SNEAKY. ) Loop your paper using about 2/3rds of the length and glue it. Use a good glue or it will fall apart at an inopportune time causing your eggs to roll all over the place and then fall on the floor after bouncing off your bare foot and cracking itself on the leg of the chair. Just guessing!
You are going to glue your bunny to the tail of that loop, but first you need to give it a little fancy folding. Fold it back and forth on the diagonal so that it has a little room to breathe – if you just fold it once, the bunny will tilt forward once you pop the egg on there. Hopefully the pictures will help you!
Step FOUR: Glue the bunny to your loop and pop an egg on there! (If you look very carefully, you’ll see that the egg in question is possibly broken from when it may have rolled off the table, bounced off my foot, and hit the chair leg before scuttling its way over to land on the heater vent. Don’t quote me on that though.)
And you’re DONE! Make a bunch, fill them with eggs, and command them to do your evil bidding! They listen for crap, just a warning.
Remember, you can buy the art in the shop, and it will be on SUPER KING CRAZYPANTS sale for a measly dollar today, $1.50 tomorrow! You can find lots of ridiculously adorable stuff digis in the shop as well, so check it out!
