We have worked hard over the past several years to stock wonderstrange with cool freebies.  This past week, I updated one of my earliest free patterns: A little raven who sits on the lap of my Edgar Allan Poe stuffie or on a shelf all by himself, evermore.  Now, the raven pattern comes with more and better pictures (objects made from black yarn can be tricky to photograph, and I have a better camera now than I did back then).

Okay, so I'm not anywhere near trying any of your awesome patterns yet, but you have inspired me to actually sign up for a class to learn how to crochet. I've been knitting since I was 8, but I could never figure out crochet via book and I don't know anyone who crochets. Thanks for being the inspiration to learn a new skill. 🙂 So far, I'm pretty much only good with single crochet. Next lesson is double crochet. Yay me! LOL

OMG! GO YOU! I am so incredibly excited for you! (And I am deeply honored to have inspired this move!) Personally, I think knowing how to do both knitting and crocheting pretty much makes people superheroes. Once you get comfortable, you will be able to make any pattern you like, whether knitted or crocheted!! How cool is that?!

I'll just throw out there that I designed my voodoo doll amigurumi to be a beginner-level project. The single crochet is the only stitch (with increases and decreases of course). It's done in the round, which takes a little practice, but once you get the hang of that, it's easy peasy! Like the raven, it's on the Free Crochet Patterns from wonderstrange page. No pressure, of course! Just pointing it out! 😀

    Congratulations!!!
