  1. Hilarious and amazing, all at the same time!

I have questions: What is the flat blue tool that you use to spread on the heavy gesso? (You've used it before, but I've forgotten to ask.) Also, what did you use to spread the paste over the stencil? And did you paint the paste while it was still wet? It looked like you did. I need to know these things so I can play along with my stencils! 😀

I don't know if I will have time this week to do a bathroom canvas, but I am excited to do one next week or the week after, because I have an empty spot in the master bath. The nails are in the walls, but the piece came down when we put up the tiles. I want to put something awesome in that space! And this is just the inspiration I needed!

    • Thanks, chickadoodle! <3

I used a brayer for the heavy gesso, but the flat blue tool that I used on the papers is just a screenprinting squeegee. This one specifically: http://www.amazon.com/Provo-Craft-Novelty-yudu-62… (the small one)

I used a piece of a gift card to spread the modeling paste – I usually use a pallette knife! And I painted it when it was dry. The miracle of modern video editing cut out the hour I waited in between.. .hahahah

I can't wait to see what you come up with!! 😀 😀 😀

  2. I have to admit something! It's just a little bit phallic when one scrolls down the page. But then it is clearly a match and by the way hilarious for a bathroom. My mom still does that. Do a lot of people do the match thing?

OMG I wrote such a long message about the video and then I got distracted before I was done and forgot and closed it. I HATE THAT OMG.

Ok so first omg houseful of teenagers. And the match thing! It gets used at your house. I don't know why I think it's so hilarious. I wonder if it depends on what part of the country one is from. 😀

I totally thought you were going to put Vampirella face up.
Oh and maybe a lip on the edge of the blocks so the matchbook doesn't fall out? But maybe you don't need that.
omg power drill, so impressive 😀
    Great project!

    • LOL it is totally phallic. Which makes me laugh even more.

Yeah the match thing came from my grandmother.. and is the ONLY reason I buy matches (even though I use them for incense all the time. I'd buy lighters if matches weren't so good at dispelling evil poopy ghosts). Every time I yell at someone to light a match I feel like Mike Meyers in So I Married An Axe Murderer. LIGHT A MATCH!!

I would have put Vampirella face up but then I wouldn't have been able to bring myself to cover her glorious cleavage. hahahah

I have the bottom of the canvas propped up on a nail (mostly because my walls are dreadfully wavy) so that the box doesn't fall off – it stays up there pretty good without it, though!

Yessss look at my mastery of power tools *flex* you should see me run the table saw.

      Thank you! <3

  3. Love it! love the texture!

I've finally got around to posting mine…I'm still debating on adding hooks to it, but right now it's a pretty neat reminder…not only to floss but at my odd sense of humor. I apologize in advance.
